Exaustion!

I was once a very independent girl! When I say that-- I lived alone, didn't have many friends. And my social life consisted of Xbox Live and my Dungeons and Dragons group.  I even went to movies alone.  I was satisfied with that life-- I was not searching for a man... but a man came into my life.  Hes an intellectual and he lets me know it.  However when it comes to interpersonal skills hes not so intellectual-- and that's where I come it.  So the relationship and a good give and take.  He has progressed very nicely... *twiddles beard*  Soon... HE SHALL TAAAAKE OVERRRR THEEEE WORRRRLD! MUAAhahaha.

But really-- There is something inside of me this summer that wants to get out and play in the sun!  Canoe down a river, I want to experience things I have never experienced before.  I ask him to do it with me and gives me a sassy look like "Who is paying for that? and why would I ever want to do something so impulsive and unplanned!? Also, You should know better than to expect me to want to be outside! PISH POSH" I then realized there was a time where I didn't need him to do things with me, I did things on my own.  I miss that life because I didn't have to run things past anyone.  Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to do those things unless I convince my Mom or Dad to do them with me.

But then I thought...  What is it that I really want? Is it I want to go experience shit... or is it just I miss having control over my actions, or fundamentally is it that I miss doing impulsive actions without feeling judged?  I am sure its a combination of all of those things.

What am I to do?

I know.. I can take back part of my history!!! I have a plan to to invite my friend to my apartment... we do girl fun impulsive things like we did back in the day. The end.  Lol. If that doesn't make my hunger for adventure go away-- then I will join a hip hop dance class... well I might do that anyway.. HEHE!

______________________________________________________

Now, It is Bryce and my 2 year anniversary tomorrow and I want to something sweet for him... I will probably clean the apartment and make chili.  But the thing is-- he has been really agitated with me lately SO I guess I will have predict what he wants with my super awesome psychic abilities.  YEAH! No, he will probably like anything  I do.... *wink wink* heh.

Granted-- I am slightly fed up with his pompous ass demeanor.  He is a sweet gentleman that treats me wonderfully and kindly.  I usually just laugh at him when hes getting charlatan on me.. lol

Mothers Day

Its the National Day for my Mom and I am conflicted. I am conflicted because I love her so much and I want to give to everything. Its just hard because she never asks for anything and always thinks of others before herself.  People like that should never be overlooked and always cared for.  Unfortunately I am way to poor to purchase her anything, I have given her paintings and letters of appreciation and she always loves it.  But the thing is I am unsatisfied with the results of what I do-- because its not good enough. I want to try new things and different things... Perhaps I should steal our family pictures and scrapbook it.  BUT I know she wants to learn it and do it.  Suggestions? Later today my sister is holding a Thor party so I should head out.  Good Night All .

Mass Effection of the ladies within it.

I am currently having a light hearted debate. We are debating which Mass Effect character is superior.  Tali or Liara or Miranda?

I vote for Tali, so get ready for my bias.  When I play Mass Effect I like to play the thing that is closest to a mage/wizard which is a biotic.  Naturally I will need a warrior and a techy in my party so I will always choose Tali over Liara simply for function.  Now-- When it come to diplomancy Tali is much more relatable than Liara.  "Merrr I am Liara and I am lonely and antisocial and cant take a joke. merrrr I lost my friend because of you, merrrr I am now renegade and definitely not paragon because I am autistic." PLUS Tali has a better alien body... just sayin'.  Don't get me wrong-- Liara is AWESOME but in comparison to Tali-- shes got nothing.  Miranda is human and therefore boring. lol

SO tell me what you think.

Grifball Update/Pax East

GRIFBALL! Its still AWESOME! PMS Ovaryacting is our captain and shes awesome.  She invited me to be on the AGLA League.  *happydance* On Monday we lost our game and didn't get any achievables-- and we must re-schedule a game.

As some already know-- I am a Frag Doll Cadette.  I intern with an all female gaming and marketing team who work for Ubisoft called Frag Dolls.  Because of this I am able to go to PAX East and learn a bunch of stuff about the gaming industry-- and meet amazing people! To be honest-- I am nervous to meet these amazing/inspirational people.  Tomorrow I have a conference call with them to go over everything there is to know--or at least I need to know about PAX.  Nervous/Excited! If you are interested here is the Pax East link.

There are even a few panel members that are the Admins of grifballhub! I PLAY AGAINST THESE PEOPLE-- and they pwn me and teach me things.  AWESOME!!!

I have also been thinking of writing a proposal to be a radio personality-- to talk about gaming and technology.  /dancedancedance

Video Games

Are video games too violent?

Does it cause violence in people?

When I was growing up I would sit next to my dad, huddled against his arm while I watched him play doom, and when I got scared he would be there to protect me from the monsters in the game.
Online gaming is great for a community environment.  In high school I got super into Halo 2, and it taught me many things like Team work, leadership, commitments, and time management.  Granted-- I had homework and ignored it because its uninteresting.
Without video games, I would be in a much worse place.  blah blah blah--- SLEEEEEPPPPP

Grifball Game and some nice-ness

Today I woke up and immediately started watching my newly gained addictive TV show.  Ugly Betty.  I love it, the story of the so called "ugly duckling" has always toughed my heart.  This show is a feel good show that allow me to emotionally binge on a fake world that involves the depth of popular vs unpopular and pretty vs un-pretty.  Besides-- I can live vicariously through the characters that have sweet clothing and shoes! HEHE!

My dad texted me today and invited Bryce and I to my cousins basketball game along with Dinner with my Grandma and Grandpa.
Its an interesting dynamic-- watching my younger family members grow up... I can see how I felt when I was their age inside their eyes.  I was always so happy to run around and play with my friends-- however I wanted to impress my family with my AWESOME skills--which never seemed to be good enough when they watched.  *sigh* ANYWHOOOOOOoooOooO

During dinner we talked about our Summer Softball game (I am playing on two teams...w00t) I get new cleats and s-ball gloves...OoooOo Watch out...WHAT WHAT! Anyway. My Grandma and Grandma told me about the time where my grandpa new my grandma was the one, He was in NY at the time he realized it and he called the Live Operator, and the operator didnt know the Military fort he was walking about SO after a long while they finally figured it out-- and my G-pa found her! He got her back by telling her that he wanted to go shopping for a lunchbox with her for work.  SO SWEET!

My family is founded on Romance.  LOVELY

Grifball today-- WE WON OUR FIRST GAME! And we DOMINATED! It was a SUPER fun group of dudes-- I really do hope we practice more with them-- but mostly because there was a guy with the gt of knightsofnee.   MONTY PYTHON FOR THE WIN! Our second game we lost--- and we were dominated  EEK

ok bye

Fun Gamer sites!

This is simply a fun website that one of my friends designed.  This is not a porn site despite the name, its a site dedicated to gamers that get hate messages, (beware it does have some hard language) however as a female gamer that gets quite a bit of inappropriate messages within my day of gaming-- I appreciate these types of sites that in a sense exposes the perp. The site is http://fatuglyorslutty.com/

There are also some really great nerd apparel shopping sites like Think Geek
Now, this next site is a plethora of  fantasy roleplaying games, accessories, board games, and novels. Paizo is, in my opinion, one of the BEST game publishers of all time.  And you should DEFINITELY check them out if your interested in such things.

Now this next site is probably the one I visit the most.  Bioware has all the games in which I am deeply infatuated with, awesome fan-art, great and friend forums.  I highly suggest it if you are interested in the Bioware products or have a desire to learn more about them, I use it for accessories, knowledge, and social networking.

Well, I will leave you with those until a later date for Halo Reach is calling!

Cat Vet Appointments

Leeloo and Dartanion have been having some pooping issues.  Its yellow-ish, super smelly, and runny. :( Its heart-breaking to see my two sweet, funny kittens so terrified on the shiny steel table, trembling together-- their ears shook... their ears!

My orange striped kitten wasn't happy when she got home from the vet.  With all the vaccinations and the trauma of leaving the warm apartment she didn't want to be out in the open, so she hid under the couch.
I was cleaning the clutter in the living room while I heard uncontrollable farting noises.  I look in the direction of the noise and I see Leeloo in the litter box uncontrollably poop/farting while shes crying because she didn't dig her hole to poop in yet.

When she finally had the hole ready, diarrhea came out, the yellow gassy diarrhea.  I have never felt so bad for something in along time. Dartanion hasn't pooped yet.

I thought doing the right/healthy thing for my kittens would make me feel good-- but when I see them, I feel sympathy for my betrayal to them.

*sigh* At least they will becoming more healthy.

Grifball

Today was the team I play on first game.  We had two games.  The first one we played we held our own with good defense however good defense doesn't in games-- We lost 0-5.  The second game we were COMPLETELY STOMPED. 5 rounds time with 3 minutes each round.  The whole game (including the 5 rounds) took about 3 minutes.  I have never been beat so bad.  The good thing is that I my team consists of super cool chicks.

I also think losing is a good thing.  I learned a lot from both loses.  Here's a few-- whip out the sword if the bomb carrier is coming-- because there is nothing more scary to the bomb carrier than a team of sword carriers, another important thing to remember is stay semi-spread out and never stay too clumped or too spread out-- find a good medium, COMMUNICATION.  I think the most important thing is to be patient when you have the bomb-- don't rush it because you have 3 minutes.

That is all.

NAT Moderate Rant

I have been playing Xbox LIVE since it came out, paying the monthly charge for YEARS.

My router recently broke, I got a good 7 years of use out of that baby.  However I bought a new router suggested to me by the Best Buy employee because there will be 3 or more games being played on it at a time.  I got it all hooked up and ready to go.  I had an Open NAT with my old router.  It started off that I had a Closed NAT, which I ended up fixing to be a Moderate, AND THAT'S JUST NOT TOLERABLE! I went to the instructions the network suggestions gave me-- and yet it was not enough.  Frankly I am HIGHLY disappointed with the level of help I received by the automated service.  I guess it time to go mess with my router settings.  Frak this, man.  *sigh*

The First Post

This is my first post, so it better be good right? I would like to share why I am blogging.

I play a lot of video games, and so does my boyfriend, however they are completely unrelated games so I need to get my opinions and whatnot out of my system.  I also want to share events that happen in my life, also some ideas I have, and even perhaps some attempts at creative writing.  All in all, this is for my own expression.

Lets get this started with Dragon Age Origins.  I have playing this game non-stop for a while now, playing the in depth backgrounds of all the races and classes.   I have read the codex's.  Elven mage is my favorite to play, I of coarse make her looks similar to myself, just prettier features, or I make he totally wacky.  The character Alistair is also quite nice, after all, he is the heir to the throne and has witty one liners, and also is pure of heart.  The one thing that disappointed me about Dragon Age was the dialogue, for instance with Mass Effect your own personal character have verbal dialogue vs. the text dialogue.  The good news is the Dragon Age 2 has the verbal dialogue, the horrific news is that they are taking away dwarfish and elven playable races.  *tear* I understand why, however it still infuriated and dampened my spirit, even though the game will still be wonderful-- they just better keep the customizable characters and such, romances or NPC's, and an epic tale of saving the world.

Since this blog is also relevant to my personal life I would like to share that I am currently interning as a Frag Doll Cadette with the Frag Dolls, an all female gaming and marketing team who work for Ubisoft Entertainment (the creators of Assassins Creed, or Ghost Recon...etc.  I have already met so many wonderful women in the gaming industry that inspire me to achieve me dreams.  They give me a lot of courage, and that's something I think everyone deserves.

My kittens are growing up so fast, The black one name is Dartanion, and the orange one is Leeloo.
They make me incredibly happy.  :)
